Downgrade to upgrade

September 21st, 2008 at 05:08 pm

I have yet to be able to bring myself to entirely cancel my cable subscription, but I did just downgrade to the most basic of plans.

This month has been a hard month when it came to saving some cash and paying back debt, but for some reason I feel like I'm finally beginning to be in control of my financial life.

Well, with all that out of the way, it's a fairly quiet day. It took me some time to find a station with gas, but I finally did and managed to fill up.

I'm off for a lovely Sunday afternoon nap.

It's a start. I downgraded mine and then finally just cancelled it all together. Now it just netflix.

Good for you about the cable. It's hard to get rid of something that most of us have lived with all of our lives. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before but I have quite a list of websites listed on my blog that have free TV shows. There are a lot of cable sites so you still might be able to see some shows this way. My favorite is www.hulu.com.

I like www.hulu.com as well. I have officially caught up on all the most recent episodes of Grey's Anatomy and The Office, preparing for them to start showing new ones.

BF & I don't have cable. It was less of a deal to me, I guess because I grew up without it until I was about 13. Then when I moved into an apartment on my own, I didn't want to pay for it! We get two free channels - NBC and a public education station (similar to PBS). It's not as bad as you think! Smile
